Every single dental implant consists of three parts: the implant, the abutment, and the crown. The implant is made of medical-grade titanium. This part is surgically placed into the patient’s jaw bone and left to heal for 4-6 months.
This implant piece acts as the foundation for the rest of the tooth. Once the bone around the site has healed, the abutment and crown are placed on top of the implant. The end result is a beautiful, natural-looking new tooth!
